The Eczema Association of New Zealand Inc (EANZ) is proud to be supported by a dedicated Professional Advisory Panel. Our panel members play a vital role in guiding the association by providing expert advice on eczema-related matters, ensuring that the information, resources, and support we provide to the community are accurate, safe, and evidence-based. Panel members assist with evaluating products and ingredients provided by our corporate partners, offering their professional insight to ensure these align with the needs of people living with eczema.

Beyond this, they support the EANZ by answering complex medical and skin-related questions that our team may not have the expertise to address, helping to shape resources, information sheets, and guidance for our members. Bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge from across the skin health sector, our panelists help the EAA maintain its focus on improving the lives of those affected by eczema. Their contributions strengthen our community, inform our programs, and help guide the future of both our support services and partnerships. Dr. Kate DeAmbrosis

Dr Kate DeAmbrosis is a highly qualified dermatologist who completed her medical degree with honours at the University of Newcastle, followed by specialist dermatology training through the Australasian College of Dermatology. She has worked in leading hospitals across Brisbane and Sydney and holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Queensland.

Dr DeAmbrosis has published research in both Australian and international journals and has been recognised with awards for clinical excellence. Her special interests include eczema, skin cancer, acne, psoriasis, and paediatric and vulval dermatology.

“A large part of my attraction to Dermatology stemmed from its many different facets - both medical and surgical - as well as the varied ways a disease can manifest in different patients. I thrive dealing with the various challenges that dermatological issues present and love the problem solving process. Matching the myriad of treatment options available to best suit an individual patient's needs and lifestyle is tremendously important to me.”

Kelly Barta

Following a personal health crisis related to topical steroid use for eczema, Kelly Barta became a dedicated advocate for others facing similar challenges. She now serves as Executive Director of the Coalition of Skin Diseases (CSD) and President of the International Topical Steroid Awareness Network (ITSAN).

Kelly plays an active role in dermatology advocacy across multiple national and international organisations. She represents the CSD on the American Academy of Dermatology’s Patient Advocacy and Drug Transparency Task Forces, serves on the FDA & CTTI Patient Engagement Collaborative, and is a member of the GlobalSkin Atopic Eczema Advisory Panel. Her work focuses on improving awareness, policy, and care for those affected by eczema and TSW around the world.

Pharmacist

Stan Seeho

I have been a pharmacist for over 40 years. I have been compounding since 2004 so have over 20 years experience as a compounder.

After 10 years in 2015 my business partner Warren Lee and I moved into compounding-dedicated facilities with 3 compounding labs in Randwick near the Prince of Wales Hospital.

We are a compounding-only pharmacy and do not dispense regular prescriptions- this is our passion and our only focus.
We have an extensive knowledge base for compounding and can provide original solutions to both patients and doctors.

Dermatology is a major part of our business and we have an extensive list of chemicals and bases for this part of our business.

We also do a lot of work in sports medicine (eg 75% of NRL teams), Paediatrics and Pain Management.

Registered Pharmacist

Linda Hooi

Linda is a registered pharmacist, cosmetic chemist, and founder of BeyondKP Skincare. Having grown up with eczema, ichthyosis and keratosis pilaris (kp) herself, she understands firsthand how much these conditions can affect confidence and daily life. For more than 20 years, Linda has supported people in her community through pharmacy practice and, more recently, by creating gentle, pharmacist-formulated skincare designed for dry, KP and eczema-prone skin. She is passionate about normalising skin conditions, helping people feel comfortable in their own skin, and making evidence-based care simple and accessible.

Naturopath

Jacinta Mullins

Jacinta is a qualified naturopath who specialises in supporting adults and children through eczema and topical steroid withdrawal. Having battled chronic eczema herself for most of her life, she deeply understands how exhausting and isolating the journey can be.

Her personal experience led her to uncover the root causes of eczema and achieve lasting healing through natural, holistic methods. Today, Jacinta is dedicated to helping others do the same — combining empathy with evidence-based care, and focusing on gut health, nutrition, and nervous system support.
